Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They had those in BOTH buildings I was in. It was BANANAS down there last night. One building gave out guest stickers, the other had wristbands.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy-making:

1. Cleaned my house.

2. Had a few friends over for games. And, I got all Martha Stewarty and made pizza dough so everyone could make their own pizza with a variety of toppings (roasted broccoli, roasted squash, carmelized onions, mushrooms, goat cheese, mozzarella, fontina, tomotoes, canadian bacon, pepperoni, artichoke hearts)

3. Spent some alone time with BF. He was sick, but time together is always happy.

4. Air conditioning.

If that's the dark side how come there are so many lightsticks tucked into your bra?

Because my dark side is fun and full of light sticks and fruity drinks.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

NYTimes readers speak out!

To the Editor:

I agree with Brooke Shields that Tom Cruise is not an expert on postpartum depression.

The building I was in had stickers, but I think they'd either run out or given up by the time we got there. It was a madhouse.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm going to be a re-enactor myself within 5 years, aren't I? I'm doomed.

Come to the dark side....

You're the second person who's said that to me today on this very topic.

See? See?? You get to dress up all pretty...

And play with weapons (those pictures are on my home computer)...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

See? See?? You get to dress up all pretty...

And play with weapons

So does she, FTR.

Some of the colonial-era gowns from yesterday were just glorious. I don't see myself ever going Victorian, but I like the colonial look almost as much as the Regency, and it's probably a better fit for my figure.

And play with weapons (those pictures are on my home computer)...

At least one of the redcoats yesterday was a woman, which I was happy to see, because I was afraid the two-X chromosome thing would preclude me from dressing up and playing soldier, which is half of what's sucking me into this.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Green jacket and a Baker rifle for Susan, I think.

Nope. Rev War and Civil War both had female soldiers. Some who cross-dressed and pretended to be men, some who didn't (at least in Civil War, don't know about Rev).
