Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cedar Point? I know we used to drive to it from Michigan, but I was never paying attention. Could be near Cincy.

No. Cedar Point is in Sandusky. We used to go there relatively frequently only because it was close.

The one in Cincinnati was much more of a slog and therefore we went rarely. It was, obviously, way more special because of it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This is neat. I bailed on fireworks, but my west-facing, completely unobstructed apartment is allowing me to watch the fireworks in - well, lets say roughly all of the western suburbs. It's like someone set up a row of sparklers across the entire horizon.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Kat, it is King's Island.

Thanks. I couldn't remember and kept thinking King's Dominion but I think that must be somewhere in Virginia.

Art Crawl!!!

ita! I am so sad that I missed the men's final. I got to see like the first serve, but I wasn't at home and had to follow plans made by others.

I thought that the women's final was also amazing.

I was somewhat sad that the 2nd men's semi was rained out on Friday because I figured that whoever was meeting Federer on Sunday needed that rest.

Wouldna helped, I swear. It might have made the match longer, but Roger was large and in charge.

TiVo saved my tennis-watching ass. Made me paranoid, though, that someone was going to spoil me before I could run home and watch.

Still, better than missing.

How was the Venus/Lindsey match, ita? It sounded epic.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, the one or two shots that I saw -- well, clearly if it went on the way it started, Roddick could have just gone home.

But he played well? And it just wasn't enough?

(Jesse -- which GL do you get in the mornings? Kyle? John? Hal? Just curious, you know.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I wandered off (not to wash dishes), but yup, it's King's Island. Man, it's been a long time since I've been there.
