Yep--Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating, which is going nationwide later this summer, I think! I did pretty good last time, losing 85 pounds in about 9 months, but after I went off of it I went right back to my old bad eating habits and put everything back on and more. I'm doing it a bit slower this time, starting with the 2000 calorie/day program for the past two months, and just switched to the 1200 cal/day program this week.
I like this program because you can go on and off it with very little notice (I was off of it the past two weeks after my car repair cleaned out my bank accounts and I had to live on pb&j and egg salad for a bit), and also because the food is actually good.
Puppy-napping.
Yes, some folk stole some puppies. But the reason I put this here is there's a slide show you can click on (I can't link to it directly) that has lots-o-cute animals.
- Cat/goat love!
- car/moose standoff!
- (re)dedication of the War Dog Memorial! With soldier saluting an army pooch!
- Iguana riding a manta ray!
- Woman feeding her 200 cats!
Check out brave little Soldier. Aww. With video - and hopefully there'll be a new one soon once he gets his wheels.
I haven't looked at the slide show yet, but this linked story just made me die with how much humans can frequently suck, and how amazing other mammals can frequently be.
The catered lunch my office has twice a week was Indian food today.
So.Good.
Did you guys hear that JG and BA finally got married?
barely-cooked cabbage
I use that a lot in lieu of rice, noodles or whatever. It's easier.
I do couscous -- it has the upside of not requiring a pot, or cabbage parts.
