Without the sugar (or replacement sweeteners), Coke should taste like kola bean juice plus caffiene. Whatever that tastes like.
Right, and I'm guestimating it might be somewhat similar, though in no way the same to black, unsweetened, cold coffee.
DH likes this stuff called Cola Tonic, made from cola nuts, it's like coke but less, sort of. But still sweetened.
It seems like you ought to be able to get cola extract without the sugar, but I don't know where.
