What is even happening?

Oh, Nilly. You were sick a long time, for a stomach virus. Are you able to drink and eat, now? I hope you get through the day tomorrow, more easily than you expect.

Thanks, Cindy. You're such a mommy (in the bestest way possible!), worrying and making sure I eat and drink. I'm usually horribly mommy-ish when it comes to making sure people drink enough and don't dehydrate, so I know where it's coming from.

I was able to eat all throughout the week. I felt bad whether I did or didn't, so there was no point in not eating. I did try to have only simple things, though, toasted bread and the like, so eating vegetables yesterday was like "hey, lettuce party in my mouth!".

What is even happening?

Twice, when I was little, I had to be hospitalized, because I started to dehydrate. I couldn't hold anything down. Now I know many, many tricks to mitigate nausea, while warding off dehydration.

Oh, it takes much more than a virus to stop me from drinking water. Nothing short of a Jewish fast comes to mind, at the moment.

I was so sick I couldn't even hold down the water. In the hospital, they put me on an I.V., and then gave me crushed ice (they ground it up in a blender or ice crusher), which stayed down, when water wouldn't.

NILLY! I'm so happy to "see" you. I was just about to e-mail you to see how you were doing. I've missed you.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hi Nilly, how's things? Sorry to hear you've been sick.

Oh, you poor thing. I know it's in the past and everything, but still.

I usually prefer my water as cold as possible (I love that temperature in which water is almost ice, but still not solid. It's like it has a completely different texture then), so maybe that helped, too, even if I didn't know it.

Cindy, are your children on vacation now?

vw! I just thought that *I* want to e-mail you - I have no idea how the new job is treating you.

Hey, billytea! It was a virus. I'm not sure I'd rather face a giant spider or something like that, but then at least it would give me more interesting answers for you. How are you doing?

[Edited because my post # is two consecutive numbers, made of three consecutive digits, each starting with four.]

It's treating me well. They absolutely love me. It's been an adjustment to work and do school, but I'm hanging in there.

(had to post and run, but back now)

Hi Nilly! Hope you feel more better soon.

vw, that's just so cool about your job.
