I'm not evil again. Why does everyone think that?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I heard a woman calling across the subway station to "Padme" today. I shit you not.

The new baby Princess of Norway is named Leah, and HRH Mom fully admits that she was named after Princess Leia (though I wonder how long it took them to talk her into a more traditional spelling).

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Padme is apparently Sanskrit for lotus, and part of a Buddhist chant ("Om Mani Padme Hum," "the jewel is in the lotus") so I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few Padmes running around entirely unrelated to Star Wars (and by now heartily sick of it, poor things).

It seems unlikely to me that this particular woman knows much Sansrit, but maybe she was calling to her friend-with-hippy-parents, not her five year old. (I didn't see who she was talking to.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, at least you didn't hear anyone calling for "R2."

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Everyone sounds like they had great days. I ran a couple of errands and got sweaty yucky and only got half of what I needed. ah well. Also watered the plants in the flowerbeds I cleaned up and did a little more housework. But mostly what I've done it watch TV and eat.

I've been trying to eat healthy and eat smaller meals more often, but I am just staying hungry, I don't get it. So far today I have had:

cranberry juice & nutritional supplement mix
yogurt & strawberries
1/2 cup of red beans with seasonings
a salad plate full of mixed greens and tomatoes with dressing
a turkey burger patty with a little spinach dip on it
a kiwi
1 cup of shrimp & feta cheese salad
plus 2 tall glasses of iced herb tea & 6 8oz glasses of water.

I still need to have dinner, but the smoothie with protein mix that I was planning doesn't sound filling to me. A chicken sandwich from McDs, does.

hmm, also a grocery store that is a good walk from my house has cherries on sale for $1.49/lb and I think I need to go get a couple of bags. I managed to find strawberries and blueberries on sale already this week.

My friend's cousin is called R2, but he's Rudy, Jr. But still.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Hello, all. Hot here. Have sweated through 2 bras before I gave up and went with the bathing suit option (doused regularly). Spent all fricken day looking at apartments, and think we have found The One. If only The One had parking, but we take what we can get. Took a special trip to the grocery store for white-out (application) and popsicles (me).

If all goes well, I will still be in the same neighborhood, with a much bigger space, and a grape arbor in the back yard for grillin' on August 1.

If all does not go well, I will be living in a van down by the river. Not really. It will actually be some other apartment, respectable in every way except for the awful 70s decor and stained carpets.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Paddling out is good exercise though, huh?

There wasn't that much paddling out, sadly. Not sure why, but she looked at the water and said we'd not have to.

And were you warm enough?

For an hour. Then I started losing sensation in my toes.

did you have fun?

Yes, I did. I can't wait until I can do it right. Or at least predictably.

When can we come and get The Inside?

Tomorrow evening? Or afternoon if I don't make the volleyball game?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just unpacked the last really important box, and now I have hammers, screwdrivers, nails, and more than one spoon.

Sadly, still no sporks.
