Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, at least you didn't hear anyone calling for "R2."

My friend's cousin is called R2, but he's Rudy, Jr. But still.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Hello, all. Hot here. Have sweated through 2 bras before I gave up and went with the bathing suit option (doused regularly). Spent all fricken day looking at apartments, and think we have found The One. If only The One had parking, but we take what we can get. Took a special trip to the grocery store for white-out (application) and popsicles (me).

If all goes well, I will still be in the same neighborhood, with a much bigger space, and a grape arbor in the back yard for grillin' on August 1.

If all does not go well, I will be living in a van down by the river. Not really. It will actually be some other apartment, respectable in every way except for the awful 70s decor and stained carpets.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Paddling out is good exercise though, huh?

There wasn't that much paddling out, sadly. Not sure why, but she looked at the water and said we'd not have to.

And were you warm enough?

For an hour. Then I started losing sensation in my toes.

did you have fun?

Yes, I did. I can't wait until I can do it right. Or at least predictably.

When can we come and get The Inside?

Tomorrow evening? Or afternoon if I don't make the volleyball game?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just unpacked the last really important box, and now I have hammers, screwdrivers, nails, and more than one spoon.

Sadly, still no sporks.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

life is not complete without sporks. Run out to a KFC or Boston Chicken or other fast food place that might support sporks.

I decided no cherries tonight, and went ahead and made the smoothie.

Congrats on apartment findage.

OH! I need to tape the Inside and send off to Emily. WIll do tonight.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And here I was wondering what to have to dinner.

msb, is the smoothie like half a meal? Because it looks like you've had 2.5 meals today. IMO.

I, OTOH, had an enormous amount of cheese fries for lunch and some awesome chicken salad for dinner.

I bought cherries! Cherries are awesome.

Since it is still way too hot to cook, I am contemplating the idea of cold hot dogs. Or of putting off dinner for a while yet and just eating cheese and cherries until 10pm.

Cold hot dogs are nobody's friend.

Jesse I have had 2 meals (yogurt/strawberries & cranberry mix thingy=breakfast, turkey burger patty/salad/shrimp salad=lunch) and 2 snacks (kiwi=1, beans=2).

So the protein smoothie (mango & banana in a base of apple juice) was gonna be dinner with possible some celery & carrot if I am still hungered.

I think I am going to have Chinese food, but I am trying to decide if I want to have it delivered or order it to go from the slightly better place that will force me to drive down the hill to get it.
