As someone still determined to finish a pint at a sitting, yes, so far there is too much ice cream.
Emily!!1! I just went to Cook's Illustrated to see what they had to say on the topic, and they agree with you.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yesss! Validation!
Oddly, my wife doesn't like ice cream. I've never really understood this.
Is there such a thing as too much ice cream??
Yes. More than a spoonful.
(severe pain will make it so.)
Sometimes I miss it. Mostly not.
my wife doesn't like ice cream
Does she like s(/he|o)rbe(/r?/)t?

No need to understand. Accept it, eat her share and move on.
Word says the following is a sentence fragment: "Cans have numerous disadvantages as packaging forms."
It looks like a sentence to me. Am I on crack or is Microsoft?
Am I on crack or is Microsoft?
It's probably not sure what's a verb and what isn't.
Microsoft notoriously can't parse homonyms. Also, it stumbles on complex sentence structures, like nested dependent clauses. Not that I have any incredibly irritating experience with that.
I figure if I can't tell pretty quickly, I'm okay ignoring the Word squiggles. As long as the software doesn't disable my print function.
My last wine glasses were so ugly that I accidentally threw them in the trash when I moved a few months ago. I can't work out what was wrong with them exactly (other than heft -- I know they lacked proper heft), so it's making it hard to web-shop replacements. Cutlery and dishes, I have elaborate rules for, but so far good/bad with wine glasses is like erotica/porn.
I mean these look great, but they also look like every other wine glass. These sound like the kevlar of wine glasses -- what are the technical considerations when shopping for glassware?
s(/he|o)rbe(/r?/)t?
These are actually two different things, as it turns out. Okay, maybe you already knew this. I didn't, until recently, and thought maybe I had remember something wrong. Sherbet seems to have milk in it.
