I've been reading the Harry Potter books (mainly because I liked the movies) and find that Hermione reminds me of my daughter. Meanwhile I think the Weasley twins remind me of Leif, or perhaps it's the bludger that reminds me of Leif.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Curse you, ita! I now need this shirt and this skirt.

Cass, I've been using the other climbing salve, called Climb On, but I hear that the JTree stuff goes on greasy but absorbs quickly. I'll try it next time.

For your owie, you could try New-Skin liquid bandage. [link] It stings a bit, but makes a flexible shield which would be useful over a knuckle.

And since it is supposed to be hotter than the face of the sun today, I'm wearing my Crocs right now! Good thing I work at a nerd preserve - no one will notice.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know what I hate? People who have extended conversations via speakerphone, for no apparent reason. (Note: I've not met the person in real life yet, so I will feel appropriately bad if she turns out to have no hands, or something. But for now, I am just annoyed.) Also, she is the first person at this agency I've been contracting with who insists on meeting in person, and I just don't have time for that shit. HONESTLY.

I hate that too, Jesse. My mother does it all the time. Of course, she does it so that she can hear conversations that me or my brother has with my dad, but it's still irritating. I just say "could you pick up the handset, I'm having trouble hearing you." If they just get closer to the speakerphone, I have the satisfaction of knowing that I've made them be uncomfortable.

What's wrong with ceiling fans?

Do they not have a second extension? That's how we do it in my family...

Heh. Mine too. And a headset for my dad who was forever dropping the phone, wedging it so we got to hear all sorts of bizarre head noises, etc. Oh, and he has to take the phone with the mute option and actually use it or my mom will get off the line. He's very unaware of noise.

I think they are strange, and not the natural order of things. Also ugly. And likely to fall on my head (although this may only be the one my (old) landlord installed). I have a serious ceiling fan hate-on.
