Strange cat appears to be in heat, and is now yowling outside my door. Strange cat may also be gay, as she was pursuing my female cat. (Or is my cat gay?)

Thrive to spite them

Okay, well it doesn't matter abbout dinner being overdone because it's cold and Dad's not here.

Our wings are not tired.

askye, can you cut up the chicken and put it in some kind of sauce so it will be more tender? I've done this with overdone chicken before. Put it in a cream based soup, serve it over rice. Yum.

Sorry your dad is late. But you have to forgive him since it's his day and all.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Spoke with my father, he is well despite half of his gift getting "lost" due to my address mistake and UPS delivering to a non-existent address.

I have had a fabulous weekend. Lots of house fixing up stuff.

Happy bithday Plei. And Happy Father's Day to all the Dads on the board, especially all the new Dads this year.

Completely unrelated... is there any way to tell who has read your lj? Please someone tell me no.

No.

ummm...that depends. i have sitemeter on my lj, but unless your ex a)has it and b)knows your IP address, i wouldn't worry too much about it.

Happy Birthday Plei!!

Cat update: Okay strange yowling cat is male. (I don't know how I missed those nads before.) He's still sitting by my back door yowling intermittently.

My girl cat has no girl parts so I don't know what he's so excited about. Every other cat around here is male, and he seems to be ignoring them.

Also, two day weekends suck. I don't want to go to work tomorrow!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Plei!

Oh, and my aunt, and I didn't mail her card. Oops.

I did, however, mail my father's card AND it got there in time, so that's good.

Had a fabulous weekend, marrying off my best friend. It's annoying that I have to work tomorrow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Fuck. I have to work tomorrow too. Life sucks.

On the upside, I just had a great steak for dinner -- lovely recipe, Cook's Illustrated. Now, I often have chicken broth, the real stuff, around, but it also called for beef stock -- I usually make chicken broth off roast chicken -- when do people make beef stock? Or do y'all buy? What brand?

That's definitely a meal I'd serve company. But ... sexy company, because the cut of meat cost $13 all by itself. And really, if I cook that for a guy, he'd better put out.

Happy birthday, Plei!

Happy father's day to all of the Buffista Dads! There is some good dad-age going on around here.

I will be in LA in just three days. Muy emocionante.

What did you do with the steak, ita? With an expensive steak, I pretty much just season and grill it. Although it has been recommended to me to stuff some bleu cheese in the middle first.
