It's a real burden being right so often.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Happy Birthday, Plei!

Tried calling my dad for Father's Day and his phone went straight to voicemail. I can only assume he's out golfing or something.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy Birthday, Plei!

My dad is probably out having lunch (hopefully with my brother & fam) so I'll wait a couple of hours before I try to call. In the meantime I should try to figure out what to wear to opening tonight.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emmett made me a Father's Day card in his last week at school. It's made out of black construction paper and looks like a tuxedo jacket (with the shirt and bowtie on a separate xeroxed sheet inside). I'm sure the teacher directed them all making the same kind of card.

Inside it says (in a neat cursive script):

Dear Dad, Thank you for being helpful with my homework and playing baseball with me. I like it when you read to me at night and when I beg you sometimes read me more. I like it when you sing to me in the hallway and in the rocking chair. Thank you for being my dad! Sincerely, Emmett.

Best Father's Day Card evah!

Because books.

Thank you for being my dad! Sincerely, Emmett.

The "sincerely" is what makes it. Adorable! Emmett sounds like such a good kid.

Heh. It's funny because he doesn't have any problem telling me he loves me. But when he's really feeling loving he'll pull my arm around him like he's wrapped inside my wing, and he'll say (in a very doofy voice from Ed, on Edd, Ed and Eddy), "You are my Dad."

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Plei!

Took G's dad and stepmom out for brunch, then went househunting.Found a strong contender. It's a townhouse with 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a nifty layout. It's towards the top of what we can afford, but we'll see what happens when we put a bid in.

Hee. I hate that show, but still, hee! Ben has been grooving on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Danny Phantom lately. He's still a snuggler, which I love.

Happy Father's Day, Hec, and all you other Buffista dads!
