What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

btw, what's the difference between a live journal and a blog?

Some people think a LiveJournal is a blog, but I think it's more of an online journal. I don't think LJ is part of the blogosphere. Blogs are what you find on Blogger and Typepad and other...blog sites. Blogs are more of a one-way thing to me; they're about getting information out.

Is a live journal interactive?

The comment system lends itself to discussion in a way that blog comments don't. LJ comments are able to be threaded, so you can reply to specific comments. Blog comments are all comments to the post, in vertical succession. Then again, many other online diaries have that sort of system, but I don't think they're blogs either.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Whatever system dailykos uses has threaded comments, and I would definitely call that a blog.

Interesting.

One of my sisters created a website for our family, but she hasn't kept it up due to life issues. I've offered to take it over for her, because I have no life. We still haven't worked out the bugs yet but I wanted to include some kind of interactive running update kind of thing. That's why I wanted to know the difference between the two.

Well, my back is killing me, so I'm off to bed. Thanks for the info.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We got up at 6:15 this morning on a Saturday to drive out to Concord for a 7:30 warmup for an 8:30 tournament baseball game. Jesus, that was a long fucking day. We had a second game at 2:30. In between games we hid out at JZ's mom's house, then went back there after all games for dinner.

Woof. I'm not loving this. We lost both games too. 2-1, 4-1.

Emmett did hit a clean triple in his very first at bat with the tournament team, though.
