Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

Interesting

It snows there. Plus, the traffic.

Gud, I hope stuff eases up for you.

I just want to go back to bed. Bah.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It's sort of common, in public school at least, because enrollment is always up in the air. Who knows how many kids will actually show up (esp. in transition years like kinder, 6th, and 9th) on opening day.

So, yeah. I dunno what I will be teaching at least grade wise and I'm trying to learn to be okay with that.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Peter Jennings was my 9-11 tv boyfriend. And now he is ill.

Poor guy. Sometimes I tune in to the evening news, on the off-chance they'll mention his health. Realistically, he's got an illness that is likely to be fatal.

What Kat said. I still don't know what I'm actually teaching when I start at the new school. I don't start until August, though, so I have a little more time. I can't imagine how stressful it would be to have to start teaching in a couple of weeks and still not know my preparations. Eesh.

Also, the fact that my current teaching gig ends on 6/30 and my new one starts on 7/5. It's a little bit of stress.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eek, that's quick, Kat.

Yeah. well, glories of year round schooling. I should look for a school on a traditional calendar.

But am lazy.

Well yes, but you get cool chunks of time off during times that vacations are not absurdly expensive, too!

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Hmmph. The classes I assist in are having either exams or exam prep today and this may be my last day to see them -- except I'm not, because the teacher never emailed me to tell me when to show up.

Mind you, it let me get nearly a full night's sleep, but still. I'm sad.
