Wasn't there someone (brenda maybe?) asking where to find the best burger in Chicago? If you go to the Chicago Tribune website today, they have an article on just that (it's set up like their photos, so I don't have a direct link--sorry!).

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
For me adolescence runs through the end of puberty. So definitely erection-filled if you're a boy. As I said -- adolescence doesn't evoke the age 19 for me. But it does evoke youth and near-boundless energy available for the arousal.'
eta: Googled:
In the United States, adolescence is generally considered to begin around age 13, and end around 24. By contrast, the World Health Organization (WHO) defines adolescence as the period of life between 10 and 20 years of age.
That's later than I was even thinking.
ita, way back:
Debet, did you find out how The 4400 ended? Mine cut off too, just as the male agent walks offscreen.
No. But I'm off to hunt now, and if I do, I'll post it here.
In the United States, adolescence is generally considered to begin around age 13, and end around 24.
Puh-huh? Says who?
Wha? Adolescence is generally congruent with teenagerhood. I cast a suspicious glance at ita's googling.
Listened to two TALs today already; officemate and I are dying over David Sedaris's Billie Holiday.
I would have guessed 12-21 as the age range. Pubescent is not a complete synonym.
Encyclopedia Britannica:
“Adolescence” is a convenient label for the period in the life span between ages 12 and 20 and is roughly equivalent to the term “teens.”
I think the 24 is on the high side for anything other than making excuses for bad behaviour.
Some of the further down definitions at dictionary.com match what I've understood the adolescence range to be.
Webster's:
1 : the state or process of growing up
2 : the period of life from puberty to maturity terminating legally at the age of majority
WordNet / Princeton:
adolescence
n 1: the time period between the beginning of puberty and adulthood
2: in the state that someone is in between puberty and adulthood
Hmm...24 falls into the age range that I will call "stupid kids" if they're acting that way, but adolescence cuts off at around 18 for me.
I'm with Jessica.
