Not just solitary confinement, but for the first 2 days of the program (and possibly longer, depending on the participant's attitude, I suppose), the participant is literally not allowed to speak. To anyone. Including family.

Yerp. And even after that is never allowed to discuss with anyone what goes on in their sessions, which to me = distinctly culty, all snark about the socks aside.

Leif won't wear sandals without socks. I didn't realize it was a religous thing, I thought it was just a three-year old thing.
Each set comes with one 2 3/4-inch humanlike figure -- your choice of Bob, Joe, Ted or Ann. And it includes all the plastic parts necessary to build a classic cube: four walls, desk, chair, file cabinet, in/out box, phone and computer.

I was thinking about programs that don't involve gay teens. Their program for gay teens sounds reprehensible.
off-topic. If I was writing to say how much an event raised, would I tell people the gross or the net? These are donor types who made non-tax deductible contributions to the event.
