Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

off-topic. If I was writing to say how much an event raised, would I tell people the gross or the net? These are donor types who made non-tax deductible contributions to the event.

Their line about wearing sports bras only while exercising baffles me. What's wrong with sports bras? Or are they not girly enough to protect the sweet young innocents from turning butch?

edit: which has nothing to do with msbelle's donors.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The longer a woman wears a sports bra, the more butch molecules seep into her bloodstream.

feh, if that were true I'd be sporting a buzz cut and high-top Doc Martins, not wearing a long skirt and contemplating the state of my nails.

edit: though I confess I've been tempted by buzz cuts (Hubby would freak) and I'd wear Doc Martins if they weren't so expensive. I blame my sports bra.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

We believe the scripture is the final truth and authority concerning all matters of morality

If they believe that then I want to know when the fuck they're gonna stop wearing clothes made of blended fabrics.

Actually, I really need to address this.

People who profess to be Christians believe that Christ's death and resurrection and subsequent offer of salvation to everyone has effectively eliminated the requirement to keep the Old Testament laws. And Christ said as much in one of the gospels (I disremember which).

I'm not condoning all the perversions of the bible to further different groups' agendas; not at all. They're disgusting. However, on the matter of OT laws, people who profess to be Christians do not have to keep OT laws.

Also, boys must wear shirts in bed.

That made me want to e-mail them and ask them, "So, it's okay for girls to sleep nekkid, then?"

but where in the NT does Christ speak against homosexuality? I have only had people point out Sodom & Gommorah.

I would think you would put net because that's what the school is getting, msbelle.

The gross number probably is more impressive though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I foolishly googled 'butch sports bra' and found this:

The butches, you see, all wear a special sports bra called the “frog bra,” which is actually advertised in the catalog with the words: “Almost like not having breasts at all!”

ION:

They're disgusting. However, on the matter of OT laws, people who profess to be Christians do not have to keep OT laws.

But is there anything in the NT prohibiting homosexuality? That's my problem - that they're not being consistent....

Or maybe, msbelle, it doesn't matter as long as you say whether it is gross or net?

Also is this your last week, in which case maybe not mattering much at all?
