"Why is 'Love in Action' so full of shit?"

Here's the answer:

What We're About -> Doctrine

We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. It is perfect truth from cover to cover, and it all points to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life eternal.

We believe the scripture is the final truth and authority concerning all matters of morality, as well as the hope and healing for morality in dilemma. We acknowledge the sinfulness of any sexual act outside of the scriptural context of Holy Matrimony between a man and a woman. We uphold Christ’s offer of redemption and freedom to all who come to Him.

They know they are absolutely right.

Actually, I'm sure they do lots of good stuff too. That camp sounds like the result of excessive rightousness.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm sure they do lots of good stuff too.

They require solitary confinement and the wearing of socks with sandals.

I wonder how many of their women go to camps outside the community for the days when they have their periods.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If they believe that then I want to know when the fuck they're gonna stop wearing clothes made of blended fabrics.

What is even happening?

They require solitary confinement and the wearing of socks with sandals.
Okay. Now I'm outraged.

Also, boys must wear shirts in bed.

WTF?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm sure they do lots of good stuff too.

Not just solitary confinement, but for the first 2 days of the program (and possibly longer, depending on the participant's attitude, I suppose), the participant is literally not allowed to speak. To anyone. Including family.

Yerp. And even after that is never allowed to discuss with anyone what goes on in their sessions, which to me = distinctly culty, all snark about the socks aside.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

So, did Jesus wear socks with his sandals?

I'm not saying they do enough good stuff to balance out that program.
