Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I've used "not unless I was abducted by aliens" in answer to the "any chance you're pregnant?" question.

I've used this one, too.

Favorite summer dessert?

Ice cream. But when it gets really hot, I'd rather have a limeade.

Beach or pool?

Beach

Predictions on the overplayed song of summer '05?

Probably either Gwen Stefani or Kelly Clarkson

What was your worst family summer vacation? your best?

We only took a real family vacation once. We drove from KC to DC and back, hitting historic sites and places where we used to live along the way. We were each hit with the flu at different points of the trip. My mom and brother were kind of sick early on, and my dad was sick while we were in DC so we stayed in the hotel instead of going to the Smithsonian. Me? I threw up on the battlefield at Gettysburg. I still feel bad for our tour guide.

I had read about your dad, that's why I asked. Sometimes, you'll hear a whole bunch of people say, within a day or two of one another, that their elbows hurt, or their backs hurt, or their knees. I swear there are all these little ouchie, weird stealth viruses we don't yet know about. I hope that doesn't happen to you again. That must have been so scary while you were driving.

I think so too. my family is very kissy/huggy so it makes sense that we're just passing this mofo around. i'm banning all of that until we get this thing out of the house. i do NOT want it back.

hey, do you think you could e me at the profile addy? or if you still have it, the same addy from long ago.

Predictions on the overplayed song of summer '05?
Skipping ahead a lot to ask if anyone's guessed "Beverly Hills" by Weezer yet. Because twice is overplayed.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Favorite summer dessert?

Key Lime Pie

Beach or pool?

Both, I'm greedy.

Predictions on the overplayed song of summer '05?

None, I only listen to current stuff on the morning drive in for the djs. I ignore the music.

What was your worst family summer vacation?

The year my ex and I drove from Arizona to Ohio with a 6 month old and an 18 month old. The 18 month old threw up on me on the way out, the 6 month old threw up on me on the way back and they both caught the chicken pox from their cousins at the wedding in Ohio.

What was your best family summer vacation?

The year my parents came to visit me in Spain. We saw a lot of southern Spain: Malaga, Granada, Ronda, Cadiz, Sevilla, Rota (the little town where I was stationed), all by car. Then we flew to Madrid and saw the Prado and all kinds of other lovely tourist sights.
