So I haven't gone to get an x-ray yet, because I couldn't get ahold of anyone at my doctor's office. Plus, festival in town this weekend which blocks off most routes to the hospital. (As well as streets being blocked off downtown where I work. Stupid festivals.)

But I may go out for beers later, which shows you where my priorities are.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hey, shrift, the book was waiting for me when I got home. Thanks!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Congrats Cashmere and family!

Congrats D Griswold!

The New York trip yesterday was nice, even if it was a looong day.(The train home was delayed leaving New York, and we didn't get to Union station until about 12:30 am). My new nephew is adorable. I was named godmother, so I carried him on a pillow in the beginning of the ceremony. Jordy liked the dinosaur, and was having a good time with a friend's son who is the same age. Much deli was consumed, and it was nice. Now if my feet will talk to me again...(we walked a lot to kill time before the bris)

Pride Weekend. You'd expect it to be quiet in Salt Lake.

Nope.

SALT LAKE CITY (KSL/AP) -- This weekend gay pride celebrations will take place at Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City. An estimated 30 thousand people are expect to attend the celebration.

The same researchers put Salt Lake City in the top 6 percent of cities where gay and lesbian couples were likely to live.

A lot of folks say, "This is my home, too, dammit, and I like it here, and I'm not scurrying away just because you think I'm evil!"

Still, I'm not sure I needed to know that one of our best buddies likes to hang out at a dungeon club on the East Side. There are pictures I just don't need in my head.

Just tell yourself it's for SCA-style re-enactment activities and all will be well, Connie.

SCA-style re-enactment activities

Ah, for the *non* family-friendly portions of history we're re-enacting.
