Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

'Not Fade Away'

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Goodnight everyone! Looks like time for me to turn back in too.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Okay. Pill. Yes. Hopefully without dreams. I've been having horrid nightmares lately. Last night I dreamed about my grandmother falling off the side of a cliff, among other things. Yeah, I know, metaphor much?

Oh lord, I'm sorry Kristin. I hope you have a restful night.

move out and draw fire

A meara! (Hi, meara!)

the largest wombat ever, being about the size of a rhino
Woof. That would take a lot of carrots. Did it burrow? Picturing a rhino-size burrow is just a tad scary.
I was figuring I'd hear from Raquel or billytea or Fay.
I was awake, but so was the baby. This was his second night in a row of 12 hours of sleep, which means he was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed all morning, so lots of baby-interaction, not much web surfing. I just got him down for a nap. We're re-training him this weekend to completely break free of the eat-get swaddled-fall asleep in vibrating papasan or on boob-habit. There will be a lot of tears and recriminations, so we picked this weekend because everyone else in the house is away. Although, since they made no effort to be quiet when they left at 3:30 am, yelling down the stairs and slamming doors, I'm not sure why we bother to be considerate.
i should put her to bed aand sleep myself, but i like looking at her
I do this too, Stephanie. Mal falls asleep in my arms, and rests his forearms on me, and his chin on his hands, and gets the moon-face, and I just melt. (((Kristin))) Nightmares suck. Just when you need the rest and a mental break...

So the landlord asked me to take care of his cats while they are away this weekend. I find this a bit ironic, since back in March he read me the riot act about having a cat, saying that the lease specifically didn't allow animals. (He was crabby because the Embassy asked him to please fix the broken window in our place, and since his sense of host-ness was offended, took it out on me.) I knew he had cats, but I didn't press it at the time, just let him vent. I guess this is sort of a tacit apology. Anyway, I'm choosing to take it as such.

Holy crap, Erin! Just read the stuff about the letter from the RighteousIndignationWoman. I do feel a bit sorry for her, though...I mean, the world's got to be so confusing. Nobody's cardboard and one-dimensional, no matter how hard she tries to make them that way (well, except for her, but that's why she's perfect). Teachers aren't supposed to exist outside the classroom, women who enjoy sex can only be sluts, and you know she's miserable and angry because her husband still wants to have sex with her even though they have children already. I'm sure being her is punishment enough. (But really, no matter of manners at all to send that email, when ignoring yours would've been fine, or sending "Please remove me from this e-mail address list" would've also worked.) What a Pharisee.

Trust my rage

Raquel, you said yesterday that your Marines in Romania couldn't hang out with local nationals at parties. (sorry to lazy to go back and look)

When we were at the consulate in Rio, our Marines actually held huge parties inviting dozens of non-embassy associated people. (raising money for the Marine Corps Ball) Anyway, these were the greatest parties ever. We went to one our last night there and ended up thrown in the pool. Thankfully the Marines' driver took us home. Then about two years ago, they all got taken hostage in their home by some local communist group and I think that was the end of the parties.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

timelies, Tom got emails from his friends P&S and they are OK. I started crying. I guess I was stressed out. I am relieved that Tom has a small tribe, because I couldn't take it if I had to wait on a dozen people to check in. These three almost did me in. And Tom too, even though he didn't say anything.

Sorry. Stupid memememe.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I still need to see American Psycho

American psycho, stay away from me.
American psycho, c'mon and let me be.
Don't go skulking around my door
I don't want to be your victim/whore
I got more important things to do
Than spend my time abducted by you.
Now psycho, I said stay away.
American psycho, listen what I say...

Ann, that's a ferret.

Erin, everyone else has already said everything I'd say.

So I'll just add, Egad. Some people really need more wholesome hobbies than running other people's lives.

Calm-ma and options-ma, please. The housing hope I'd given a 90% chance of coming through for us has decided to say no. Hubby goes in for spinal surgery on Wednesday.
