Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey Raquel! Zito won today, pitching 8 innings.

Also the A's fans gave him a huge chant in the 8th that got louder and louder until he could hear it on the mound (and the cameras caught him smiling at it.) A bit of apprecition for all he's done to hold the team togetheer this year when we were flailing.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Shit, Susan. It looks like you live in the damn jungle.

Blackberries are the kudzu of the Northwest. Only much tastier.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I have almost no blackberries in my yard. I do, however, have lots and lots and lots of morning glory, on account of almost a year without me weeding.

Lalala.

Mess? What mess? It's a cottage garden, honest!

Back from the House of Reason Party.

Ellie is too cute for her own good. I want to kiss her little nose.

move out and draw fire

This is very cool. Also, digging on Emmett's Zen.

That photo of Ellie may be the cutest baby photo ever.

Timelies!

I'm feeling decent this morning. I'm hoping that it sticks. I have a lot I want to do today. I've already done dishes, walked the dog, made coffee, and I'm about to make some banana bread.

Much cleaning must happen today. I'm not so looking forward to that part. Although, it'll feel good when it's done.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hello.

Been skimming and skipping. Doing laundry.

Contemplating making a late breakfast for WS, who is still asleep, exhausted from the move.

Wow. Home.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Congrats on the getting home safely, Daniel. I wish you both much joy and delight in your home together.

Yay Daniel and WS! I'm so happy for you guys.

ION, banana bread is baking, and it smells amazing. I wish it would be done already.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Welcome home, Daniel and Andi!

Now go sleep.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Welcome home, Andi and Daniel! Safe and sound, brave souls. And happiness abound to you.

Emmett is a wonder, with his outlook on life.

But then, considering the thoughtful and involved parenting he's grown up with, I suppose it's not such a wonder, after all. In any case, it's always a pleasure to hear about his take on life. He's a definite individual: thoughtful and with a unique perspective.

vw, you sound industrious. What? Baking is industrious. Now figure out a way to waft those banana bread scents through the internets and we can all share.

Casa Bev is far from industrious today. In fact one might go so far as to call us indolent and lazy.
