I'm not sure what this means. Does someone from the embassy actually go visit random americans in the hospital?!? Or is it people who like, work there?
No...when Americans (usually tourists without a support network otherwise) get hospitalized, the embassy usually gets involved just in a lines-of-communication thing. We either facilitate communication between the hospitalized person and folks back home, or between the American and the hospital, if needed.
You don't get a visit from an embassy official unless you're in jail.
That said, people, NEVER rent a scooter in Greece. I know it seems like the thing to do and all, but Greece has the highest rate of motorcycle and scooter fatalities (and incidently, crashes) in Europe. No one's died this week (yet), but there were several pins and metal plates put in. And one guy, who only got stitches, is being hounded by the scooter rental guy to pay for the damaged scooter. Which happens all the time.

Yeah, she's getting a really good idea of what you want. At this point, we're talking about combining a couple of different styles. She thinks one more like the first one would be more flattering on you, but of a longer lengther than the one you linked to. For that one, she says no more than six yard, including lining.
Okay, except that the first one won't be swooshy enough for you. Something sort of in between, I guess? But even then, she's saying no more than eight yards.
I'll get the ten and I'll make a pillow out of what's left.

And I like the first one. A lot. So much that I would buy the first one if my fat ass fit into their sizes. Lots more than the second one.
And what fabric would she reccommend? So I can ask the nice lady.
Okay, there should perhaps be an in depth discussion of exactly which kind of skirt shall be made for you, but any of those styles can be accomodated. Something more like the second one she says "NO LINING!"
