I just sent off my writing samples to the pharma in Connecticut.
Hope they like them
*is supremely worried*
Okay, well, I'd be more worried if their posting weren't for
WRITERS,
making it sound like they're putting together a whole goddamn medical writing
team
since they are just. That. New. Or something.
Huh. I just realized they're not actually a pharmaceutical company. "Envision Pharma provides commercially focused, scientifically driven medical communications."
...'kay.
having skipped and skimmed frantically, I'm now caught up in Bitches!
Happy birthday to everyone whose birthday I've missed!
Fred Pete and Hubs - good luck with the new cats. May peace and purring soon reign in your home.
Deena - glad to hear the kids survived pulling the stove over. And - if you're interested - last fall one of the bead magazines printed instructions for making a tiara. I dug it out and wasn't very impressed - but if you're interested in seeing it, I could copy and mail it to you (profile addy good).
And someone - meara? - posted about using duct tape on skin. I saw something about this on TV once - seemingly the trick is you press the sticky side of the duct tape to a towel before sticking it to you. This seems to reduce the stickiness enough that it actually comes off without taking the skin with it.
And P-C, for what it's worth I survived YEARS of my mother nagging at me for wasting my education. After many years of hearing how well my sister was doing in retailing, she's finally accepted that what I do is actually something worthwhile. (snarkily, my sister is on a long downward slide in her career)
Yay, Toddson for healthy boobs!

Ooh, good tip. Not that I have any idea when I might need it, but I guess when you do, you really do.
Toddson, congrats on the non-malignancy!
Toddson, you're looking breastacular, today!
I have no advice on baby sleep.
So glad to know I'm not the only one. I was up to nurse Ellie last night at 9:30, 10:30 (well I was already up for those), 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 and 7:30. For whatever reason she skipped 6:30.
But it the category of huge relief developments today - My mom gave Ellie a very tiny bottle of expressed milk, which Ellie drank with no hesitation whatsoever. Huge relief for the bar exam. Also, I got back three sample essays I wrote on the first day I started bar studying after Joe left. Even the one where I totally did not know the law and got it wrong, I still got enough points to pass. This gives me confidence for the real exam. That, plus the fact that I shouldn't have to worry about the whole "feeding the baby during the test" thing has totally made up for my complete lack of sleep last night.
AND
Happy Birthday Hec!!
Happy Birthday deb!!
Healthy boobs are good boobs.
