Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This may be the most afraid of ita I have ever been.

So, I just got home from observing at the school. I think it went really well. I also met with/had a mini interview with the director of the program. She asked me at one point if I'd like to quit school and work for her full time. I'm thinking that's a good sign.

Also, the staff members I was shadowing? They were talking like I already worked there, and were surprised I didn't know. I'm thinking that's also a good sign.

I'm supposed to hear for sure tomorrow.

Eep.

That sounds like a really solid interview, VW. It's always cheering when they take you as a given.

Very good signs indeed, vw.

So, the pastor of the church I've been semi-sporadically going to was on 60 minutes yesterday. The church was shown, mentioned by name, and mentioned as located in San Diego. I'm thinking I'm not gonna be able to get in the door next week.

Bitches, I need you to talk me down. I went to one of my project leads and told him I was going, and how much I respected his team. His response was all about how he understood that I had had a limited amount of time available and he knew I'd done the best I could to get something out of the door in a timely fashion.

Now I know, I know, that I should have, could have, done more on the book, but I feel like I left a bad impression behind me. But it wasn't my department's top priority, as indicated by the fact they handed it off to India as soon as possible.

Does not gibe with

he knew I'd done the best I could

Sounds like you did good work, and you're getting some survivors guilt for escaping, maybe.

Well, "you did the best you could under the circumstances" isn't exactly a glowing endorsement.
