I met Angela Bassett tonight. I also met Courtney B. Vance and Reginald Vel Johnson, who are both very lovely men and quite nice. Ms. Bassett is... guh. Seriously. I don't get star-struck as a rule. But Angela... Holy shit. She's so beautiful that I wish I had any shred of sculpting or painting ability, just to attempt to capture that beauty. She got introduced to me, and I was damn near tongue-tied. Actually, I was exceedingly polite and formal, because that is what I default to. But DAMN.
Anyway. That was my night. Well, there was a lot of drinking and chatting with actors, but I do that most nights.
