Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{Nora and Tom}} I hope the moving goes as somoothly as possible and you are settled in your new home (that, incidentally, belongs to you!) before you know it.

Very cute shoes, GC.

(eta: That's too bad that you're losing the doctors you know, vw. I hope whoever you get next doesn't take much breaking in!)

Granola:

There's a very loud "discussion" going on in my office mate's boss's office. Behind a closed door, but I can hear every word. I am so uncomfortable.

Eek! does it involve you at all?

No, thank god!

And now it's finally over. Whew.

brillig

There is a disadvantage to being a patient at a teaching hospital.

This is the situation at the basic clinic Hubby and I go to. Our first doctor there was this amazing woman, Dr. Springer, who actually believed her patients and wasn't afraid to ask her mentors for help when she wasn't certain about things. She gave me a hug when I was first diagnosed with diabetes, which I appreciated even though my brain was going "Authority figure hugging me! Does not compute!"

She went on her way in the fullness of time, and we were sad.

Last year, Hubby goes in for a checkup with the latest fresh-from-medical-school kid, who goes to get a mentor. Who should walk in with Baby!Doc but Dr. Springer, who is now a mentor in her own right. She remembers Hubby and they have a brief chat, and Dr. Springer gives Baby!Doc a gentle lesson on "Some of the people who come to the FAmily Practice Clinic are very well educated and are very well informed on their conditions, and you should be very grateful because they'll do have your work for you in regards to assessment. Your job with these folks is to give them the tools to continue what they're doing."

I love Dr. Springer.

Nora, sorry for all the stress, but YAY for closing!

ION, I bought some bras yesterday to replace the one that I pulled the underwire out of -- I may have found my One True Bra. It fits so damn well, and actually gives me both lift and cleavage.

I know you were all wondering about the state of my girls. Wonder no longer!

ION, holy crap, I am so SORE from bellydancing last night. Agh.

Mostly lurking...

I hope whoever you get next doesn't take much breaking in!

I actually got a very sweet *hand-written* note from Dr. Austen yesterday saying that she'll miss me, and she'll be sure to tell the replacing doctor about me. I believe her. I'm sure it'll be fine, but I'll miss her anyway.

I love Dr. Springer.

I bet! How fabulous!

Yay for good doctors!

I'm glad to hear you are supported again, Tep.

I think I have found my One True Tiara. Or at least, the equivalent of Mr. Right Now in tiara form. [link]

What is it?! I know one lady's OTB could make my boobs look like loaf but I'm always on the lookout for new bra options.

The brand is Cabernet, and I got it at Dillard's, though I don't know if it's a Dillard's store brand, or what. (Also, the exact bra I bought isn't on that site, but this one is pretty damn close to the one I bought.)

Also? $20. Which rooooolz.
