Just heard back from my prof. She says to take it easy and not bother coming to class. So, I'm going to do that. I just...I hate this. Gonna have to talk to my boss about it tomorrow so I know what to do if a situation like this comes up again.
Dude! Nervous about vw missing school things and what not. I mean, I doubt they are manipulatively taking advantage, but... they won't look out for you and your priorities, when not doing so benefits them. Don't do more than they are paying you to do... you've got so much on your plate vee-dub!
I don't know if that came out right, becasue I am EXHAUSTED.
We have a house.
And a new washer and dryer.
And a push lawnmower. And a weed whacker.
And an extension cord for the weed whacker.
The sellers' couch is still in the living room and we are going to let them and their guy try to get it out on Thursday. That created a bit of a last minute stir, but we put about $1500 in escrow -also because they were not moved out in time for the walk through and doors were off hinges, windows removed, etc. at that point, so we couldn't really check for the move in condition.
But everything was signed and all that and I didn't feel like smacking them. Much. When their asshole realtor breezed in, I kinda wanted to smack her though. But, points for personal growth, I did not.
Our realtor took us out for lunch and rattled off a zillion places to go in and around Salem, and I wish I could have written them all down. Then we went to Best Buy and bought a washer and dryer. Then we went to Home Depot and bought a push mower and weed whacker type thing and investigated how to get our gas grill next week.
So, yeah. Spent a lot of money today. Lots of it we didn't even have.
YAY NORA! (edit: AND TOM!)
And don't worry about me. I like being at a place that I care about so much. But, yeah, I have to be careful with balancing the priorities. I'm still working that part out.
Whoo-hoo for homeowning, Nora and Tom! That's awesome.

Right on. I know you'll get it worked out. Just weighing in from the Nora-land constituancy.
Yay for Nora and Tom and the house owned by them!
Time to break it in with a par-tay! Where are Kid 'n' Play when you need them?
Dan -- I'm sure JEB will be too busy with investigations into personal matters to really care about one class.
However, under the new legislation how Floridians go to college has been changed. Starting in the fall all new students will have a deadline -- they have four years to get their degree or they start paying out of state tution. It doesn't apply to previously enrolled students.
Supposedly, this is a good thing to help students stop lollygagging around and get out and let everyone else in.
I'm not exactly sure how part time students are effected, but I think it's the same. I'm not sure if you have 4 yrs including community college or not.
A lot of people, especially families with kids in school who can't just pay for their kids but make to much to qualify for most finacial aid, are pissed.
Welcome to homeownership, Nora! Yay for you and Tom. It's scary and weird but exciting and fun, too.
The boy and I took TWO naps today. Two. T-W-O. They were of goodly length, too. I feel fucking great!!!
That could just be the diet IBC root beer talking, though.
Thanks, guys!
GC- my best vibes for your co-wokers.
