I just got home from the beach and decided to turn on All My Children. All of the children that were 3-5 when I stopped watching a year ago, are now 18-24 and getting it on. Man.
BTW, I forgot the best curly hair styling tool EVAH- salt water. I'm so not washing my hair today.
Woot! Potential job and in Chicago!!
Yeah, it's a six-month contract with the potential for a permanent position. I don't know how risky it would be as far as having to find another job in six months, which would be annoying, but the good thing would be I probably wouldn't have to find it myself. That's what recruiters are
for.
Liltyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!! I miss you.
PC - you might want to check out these guys [link] and send them your resume. I just saw a huge ad on the subway about how they're looking for people at all levels (BS, MS, PhD, etc.)
Thanks, vw!
Hm, doesn't look like they have anything available for me at the moment. But I'll post my thingy anyway.
We'll get our boy hired yet.
From an article on cnn.com:
"For a time his favorite snack was Cheetos, and when that ran out, Saddam would "get grumpy," the story said. One day, guards substituted Doritos corn chips, and Saddam forgot about Cheetos."
I can't help but laugh at this. I don't know if it's at a picture of grumpy Saddam mourning his Cheetos, or GQ's apparent need to put it into print.
Cass was looking for a way to buy my band's cd I think or, you know, if anybody else wants it...

Congratulations and Happy Birthdays and Good Lucks with Jobs and House Gettings and New Hair Product Finding all around.
Anne, sorry the job thing has been a bummer. I was super depressed for the first 8 months or so after I moved to Baltimore even though I was living with my best friend and was loving the city because I could NOT find a job. I had kinda crappy/kinda okay temp jobs sporadically during that time and went on a bunch of interviews that didn't pan out. That added to the stress of having just moved several hundred miles sucked ass. a lot. I'm hoping your transition is a bunch easier. Try to be kind to yourself and give yourself time to adapt.
