Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Pantene also makes a curly hair styling creme product that works pretty well.
Pantene tends to not help my frizzies at all. this conversation is really making me want to chop off my hair. though i always threaten to do that and never follow through. i haven't had short, short hair since i was five.
being a homebody and being a big caretaker (particularly by feeding people) and being moody, overemotional, and clingy, and intuitive. I am a Cancer, therefore I nest. But I also have the Gemini traits of being swift with words, witty, intellectual, tense as hell, and needing to be the center of attention.
you totally just described me. well...except for the caretaker and clingy parts.
Mine's on Thursday (see how I've hardly mentioned it this year? see?!?)
It's true! You haven't! Well, at least, not since, um...Thursday? And not in Bitches? Dunno what you've been saying before that or elsewhere, seeing as how my reading has been rather curtailed lately. :)
See, I thought cutting my hair would make it easier. But no, not only was it a pain and I had to DO stuff to it every day, I also had LESS curl when it was shorter (especially when it was in the growing-out-inbetween stage--then it just waved weirdly, rather than actually curling)
I got to catching up and y'all talked racing without me...
Yeah, as if Formula 1 isn't having ENOUGH problems in America after the mess at Indy yesterday. Oy.
This. So very much this. I wonder if Bernie made his stupid ass Danica comment to draw attention away from the colossally stupid debacle at Indy. He is brilliant if a little too confident in his ability to control his entire world, like racing-obsessed Dr. Evil with a Warhol wig.
Pass the brain bleach?
Absolutely. Eccelstone is notorious for that kind of behavior.
And ChiKat sums up the Eccelstone is insane thing.
Blame Cass that I know and care. Bitch got me hooked.
But it's the good crack usually...
but 9 of the 10 teams are thinking about dropping out of F1 after the 2007 season and starting their own circuit. Tony George (head of IRL) is courting them to come to IRL.
Tony George is the master of the breakaway series. Ten years later and his is finally decent racing again.
Friend of mine is a big racing fan
meara, were I not coastally challenged, you'd be introducing me to this friend, right?
I can't believe that a racing series finally really makes the news and it is for being So Damn Stupid.

Aveda's Be Curly has many fans around here.
I like ones that start the ingredients with propylene glycol--I have one cheapo one called "Curls Up"
I've been using Tigi's Catwalk 'Curls Rock' products.
Bumble and Bumble's Curl Conscious Creme is a good alternative if you don't like the smell of Be Curly. It also comes in thick or fine variations, which is nice.

I really need something to control the frizz and allow the curl to be free but my hair is really rather thin or fine or something that makes it not thick.
meara, were I not coastally challenged, you'd be introducing me to this friend, right?
Heh. Well, in a "he'd love to talk racing" way, yes. But also in a "he's a big gay homo" way too. :)
Heh.
I was thinking as I typed that there was a great big question mark as to whether said friend was a boy or a girl. I figgered it didn't matter so much. And, frankly, if I can be that
bi
open-minded, why can't he?
I feel like a Blur flashbacky song.

The WBB's review of lisah's band rocks like a very cool rocking thing.
Wherefore can this be purchased? Because I have a band pin but I am lacking in cd.
Since we're talking hair, I have a hair question.
Ever since I've been old enough to care whether or not I looked dirty, I've taken a shower in the morning as a matter of necessity instead of preference because my hair looks so greasy when I get up and seems to need washing every day.
Morning showering didn't really bother me before, because I didn't have to get up at 5:30 in the morning and because my hair was short and easy to wash. But now that I've got a ton of hair (it's way past my shoulders and [though I don't really feel justified in complaining about this] super super thick), coupled with the fact that I'm forced to get to work at 7 a.m. with some frequency, I'm even more eager to be able to shower at night and spend that precious half-hour of the morning sleeping.
So is there anything I can do to make my hair look less greasy in the morning?
Jen, you're probably not going to like this answer, but if you can go several days without washing your hair, let it get all gross and then after you start shampooing again, go to an every other day schedule, it works great. I did that a couple of years ago and it's worked great. I used to wash my hair every morning, but now I need to wash it only every other day. Unless I've been really sweaty.
What ChiKat said. Every hairdresser person I've known (and what I learned long, long ago in cosmetology school) states that there is no need to wash your hair every day. Or every other day, really.
Of course, I'm one of those crazy people who only washes her hair once a week.
... waitaminute, isn't this Bitches Conversation #243? I know this topic has come up before ...
#243? OK!
I once didn't wash my hair with shampoo for several months, only warm water. It looked really nice, but it was a pain in the ass to do and I was eventually back on the 'poo pony.
