I have the hella curly hair with the 'only mildly wavy' layer underneath, too. I've been using Tigi's Catwalk 'Curls Rock' products. The good thing, is they work well. The bad thing is it's a line of five different products. But, if your hair wasn't as crazy frizzy/curly as mine, you may be able to skip the leave in conditioner.
ETA: Way to be, Sunil!
Bumble and Bumble's Curl Conscious Creme is a good alternative if you don't like the smell of Be Curly. It also comes in thick or fine variations, which is nice.
I saw my therapist today. She's been glad of my progress. Except that I'm not getting enough sleep. But she's glad I'm cutting down on caffiene. She wants me to get 8 -10 hrs of sleep every night. There's no way I can get 10 in, but I haven't been getting 8. Also, I gave her a copy of Dar William's "What Do You Here in These Sounds" because the first time I heard it I thought of her and all the work I've done. She loved it and is going to share it with a few other clients.
I need to start eating better, I ate such junk for dinner. But! I walked for almost 30 mins. I meant to only walk 20, but I got down a hill and it took me a bit to get back up and over. I feel sweaty and thirsty and good. Out of shape, but good.
I was looking at short hair styles and I saw a before and after of a woman who got a buzz cut. I hate to say "when I'm thin", but when I'm thin --- well thinner--- I'm getting a buzz cut.
Dar William's "What Do You Here in These Sounds"
Awesome. (Both the progress
and
the song.)
I think I made her a Dar Williams fan with just that song.
My only "homework" for the next time I see her is figuring out if I can take classes next semseter and which class it will be. I'm only taking one. If I can take the one hour class that will be perfect (it's united States Constitution).
I just double checked and I'll be able to afford it if I have to take a three hour course. I've got enough Fs on my record I may have to take the three hour course. If I do then I'm taking the Intro to Computers class. I have to take something relatively simple and I think I can master Intro to Computers. I stopped going to the class and failed it, which is why I have to take it again.
the girly accessory stores (Claire's, The Icing, etc.) usually have cute ones that'd be okay for a starter tiara.
I love the idea of a starter tiara. First you have the little tiara on training wheels, then you work your way up to the crown jewels.
I totally need a starter tiara.
I adore Be Curly, including how it smells. (Actually, THAT makes me miss having long hair, because I used to be able to pull my hair forward to my nose and smell it. Yeah, weird.) It's good stuff. Pantene also makes a curly hair styling creme product that works pretty well.
No, no tiggy, our first day of summer-y, solstice-y, cusp of Gemini/Cancer-y bday shall be joyous! (Not least because I'm taking the day off work)
heh. do you consider yourself a gemini or a cancer?
Mine's on Thursday (see how I've hardly mentioned it this year? see?!?), and I consider myself about 70-30 cancer-gemini. Because I have the Cancerian traits of being a homebody and being a big caretaker (particularly by feeding people) and being moody, overemotional, and clingy, and intuitive. I am a Cancer, therefore I nest. But I also have the Gemini traits of being swift with words, witty, intellectual, tense as hell, and needing to be the center of attention.

Somewhere, Hec just wibbled and he doesn't know why.
