Go, lisah! It's the good kind of nerves/panic. Wheee!!!!
In other news, Bernie Ecclestone, Formula One chief, on Danica Patrick, female Indy car driver:
She did a good job, didn't she? Super. Didn't think she'd be able to make it like that," Ecclestone told a gathering of reporters about Patrick's Indy 500 finish.
"You know, I've got one of these wonderful ideas that women should be all dressed in white like all the other domestic appliances," Ecclestone added.
What an asshole.

Too much grading, too much grading,
Too much graaaaading, do I see,
Research papers that give me vapors,
And these exams are scaring me.
If I focus, if I focus,
if I fooooocus, it may be
that this grading will start fading
and be replaced by the tropical sea.
Oh why is it, oh why is it,
Oy why iiiiiiiis it, that these guys
Can't form a thesis that's not specious
Or at least not hard on the eyes?
If I finish, If I finish,
If I fiiiiiinish these today
I'll be woozy and likely boozey
No matter what those school rules say.
thus ends the procrastination of the moment
Hec, they should film that and show it every Christmas, especially if she also says "That'll put marzipan in his pie plate, bingo."
Danica,
Wear Gloves!

Calling all cooks! I need a good apple pie recipe. It's the BF's birthday and he's not a cake person, but his favorite dessert is apple pie. Anyone?? (x-posted w/Natter)
I have no good apple pie recipe but in other pie news:
I have requested a pie
in
a cake for my birthday this year.
For I love them both. And wanted to present my Super Cake Bakin' Best Friend with a real challenge.
I think I'm too puzzled to be offended. Domestic appliances? What?

Women exist to function as kitchen equipment, making food and washing dishes.
I think I'm too puzzled to be offended.
That's how they get ya.
ION, I'm watching an Angel repeat and oh, my, Holtz is HOTT.
This is the apple pie recipe I use: [link] The only difference is that we try to cut things like "Happy Birthday" or the birthday person's name in the top. It's never very legible, but it's tradition. Also, I use cold milk instead of water in the pie crust. If you don't want to attempt pie crust, the pie crust that they sell in the dairy case near things like canned biscuits -- the kind that you unfold -- is not bad.
eta: Also, frozen pre-cut apples work pretty well, although fresh is better. You want an apple that can stand up to cooking, like a Granny Smith or Macintosh.
