Damn you, Bridget! Damn you to Hades! You broke my heart in a million pieces! You made me love you, and then you-- I SHAVED MY BEARD FOR YOU, DEVIL WOMAN!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Ow. Headache. Ow. Sore legs from a weekend of gardeneing. Ow. Work ache from a suddenly scheduled meeting tomorrow with "interesting news". Ow.

I'm just gonna watch all the Bertie and Jeeves I can get my hands on, and pretend I'm a brainless nob with too much money and too many aunts, and Stephen Fry's around to fix everything for me.

Also, ow.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I am slowly becoming convinced that I will never find a job I like that pays me enough money.

Intellectually, I know this is not true, but it's hard not to feel like that.

Also, I just realized that I was laid off from my last job just a little over 1 year ago.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Kristin, that sucks. How can they get away with that?

{{{Calli}}} Feel better.

One room completely cleaned up. Three more to go.

The status is NOT quo.

Anne, I'm so sorry. Calli, also, please feel better.

sj and Heather--she's on a power trip and she's pissed off because I make her life soooo hard. Because calling up the in-school sub and saying "please hand out the exams in the bottom left drawer" is apparently too much to ask.

Please.

She had sent me a blue slip to request "personal time" for that half an hour, but I don't have any personal days left. I only get three, and I used them all this year. I sent a very terse email basically saying that if she wasn't willing to take the half an hour as sick time, she'd just have to dock my pay.

Bitch. And not in the nice way, either.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That is awful. My mother is a school secretary, and I know for a fact that she doesn't have that kind of power. She has nothing to do with payroll at all. That is just insane.

Thanks.

And Kristin, I'm sorry that person's being such a jerk.

I hope something changes for you on the job hunt front, Anne.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Have just announced to DH that we are never moving anywhere with scorpions.

Hugs and job~ma to Anne.

I'm starting my job search this week, but, since I'm trying to learn not to push myself too hard, not today. I've got enough to do just with getting settled back in town and with my usual weekly errands.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

GOD.

I am a total screw up.

I got lost finding the shrink's office, and it took me an hour and a half to get to the place where I discovered that THE ADDRESS I HAD FOR HIM DID NOT EXIST. I almost got arrested for B&E of a house on that street (OK, not really, but I think I freaked them out by trying to get in their basement door)

I had a panic attack in the car, tried to do the right thing by driving straight on to work, and I couldn't get into the parking lot. So I am home now and called my boss and said I needed to rest for an hour before deciding if I could come into the office.

House stuff seems to be OK though.

So I'm going to try to relax for a little while, figure out if I can get to work or not at all today.
