Hammocks are the best thing in the world.
Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I repaired my own radiator this afternoon, I did!
It's an older car ('89 Caprice) so it has a big honkin brass radiator that has been leaking for some time. It finally got really bad, and resembled a fountain under the hood. A used radiator for it costs $45 and up to over $100. I was not about to spend money on someone who would repair it, only to replace the whole thing.
Between that and the future transmission replacement, I'm going to wait on major repairs until after my trip to get Andi.
Anyway, I took off the cowl, hefted one side of the radiator up so i could see it, then cleaned away around the affected brass strip. I crimped off the bad section, and then using Solder, flux and a big honkin soldering gun, I globbed up the whole hole but good.
I seem to have succeeded, as I ran the car for ten minutes without a drip from the radiator.
SO manly are you. ::woof::
Hee.
TY Trudy. I feel manly today. Ar as manly as a man in flipflops and short pants can get puttering around the yard.
It's funny.I never thought of "Brian Kinney" as having another name that's not Brian. Some characters are just like that. Maybe because I'd never seen him before. Or maybe because it's Brian's world and we're all living in it.
Maybe it's Brian Griffith's world.
Yeah...we're all just floating in his water dish.

Hee. It's good to see you so vigorous, it's not really that long ago you were unwell. Now you're all healthy and in love. I'm so happy for you.
Daniel, does your Cuz A. know he is moving out, and B. have a definite place to go?
I'm considering moving to Atlanta. I've only driven through it once and spent a business day there, so I can't really say I'm making an informed decision. I think I'll like it because of the climate, location and size of the city. I want to find a job in IT there; the job market seems decent.
I'd appreciate it if the hivemind could share their experiences with Atlanta and give me some advice about moving there. Oh, and I'm a Yankee.
