[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Lilty, you just worry about which European man you'll allow to romance you when.

So many pretty tiaras. I'm liking the handmade asymmetric ones, but it must sparkle because when faced with rhinestones I am a six year old girl. So, while I like this one because it is different, I gravitate to this because the glint catches my eye.

I am close enough to being on vacation for two weeks that I really don't want to be here. Anyone comes close to my desk with a project and I'll throw my stapler at them.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

askye, that card your dad gave you is beautiful. Got me all choked up.

I dig all the pretty tiaras people are linking to. Pretties!!

I went to a taping of Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me last night and had a great time! If you listen to the show this weekend, I was there!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

This is very pretty, but I'd prefer it with onyx or black pearls. Of course. :)

My hubby and I went to a Wait, Wait taping a couple of months ago -- Peter Segal can come to one of my cocktail parties anytime. He is a funny, funny man.

juliana, you know that faerie tiara that you linked to yesterday that you said was a bit too colorful for you? That seller has this one that may be more your style...

I like it, but it's not colorful enough for me! I loved loved loved that one you linked to yesterday

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, so much fun, Lilty. When do you go?

The subdued and unique tiaras are all pretty, but the ones that are just rhinestones on top of rhinestones with some more sparkly things thrown in own my heart. Like [link] or [link] or [link]

I'm such a magpie. I have to be extra careful if I'm driving near jewelry stores because if there's something shiny in the window, I will steer towards it.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Ohh. All the tiaras are so pretty!!!

As far as European men go, my friend and I were discussing the likely infrequency of showers, and she said "Well, who cares if we're clean? It's not as if we're trolling for men." Silence on the line. "Hello? Are you still there?"

"Well, it wouldn't HURT."

ETA: We fly out July 14th. Which also means that while Harry Potter isn't out when we take off, it is when we land. I thought I heard that in the UK, books come out in paperback the same time they come out in hardcover. I know I can't haul a hardcover around, but I'd find a way to have the paperback in my pack if it meant I was reading a new Harry Potter on a Hogwarts train.

Peter Segal can come to one of my cocktail parties anytime. He is a funny, funny man.

Isn't he, though? The panelists were Paula Poundston, Roy Blount, Jr., and Adam Felber. Guest co-host (Carl Kassel is on vacation) was Tom Bodett. Afterwards, we went to Chinatown and ate way too much. It was a great evening.
