'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It seems like there's been several California quakes recently.

I have no conclusion to draw from this.

Our wings are not tired.

Cross yer fingers, people!

Herding cats for fun

If I were rational, or if the dress clothes hadn't been hanging uselessly in my closet for 5 years, I might have held off on packing them. But they need to be cleaned anyway, so a little wrinkling shouldn't hurt.

Sounds reasonable to me. Signed, has huge suitcase full of fancy clothes that I've never worn. But I have them, just in case I ever need them. I might want to disguise myself in a mint-green Easter suit or something, ya never know.

Called Temp Job and gave my regrets. I'm sure I'll sometimes be sorry when I'm sitting in traffic on the freeway going to the FT Permanent Job much farther away. Today I feel all ucky and feverish and plan to spend a few hours snoozing on the couch with the kitty.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I'm fine, LA seems to be fine. The house shook a little, but it wasn't as long-lasting as Sunday morning's quake.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My hubby just had a job offer, although the parameters of the job and salary still need to be discussed. I'm trying not to push him to hard into something he won't like just because it will be a regular paycheck. Cross yer fingers, people!

Yay!

Just make sure he can get a couple of days in September off.

He knows. Let's just hope he remembers his lines...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yay for job offers.

Yay for LAistas not being all crushed and stuff.

Yay for puppies, who really are about the best thing going when you're feeling like you fucked up and need someone to cry on for a minute.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Fingers crossed for him Sparky. And also for CA.

Mr. H is going to build a small site to host my writing and layout samples as well as my resume. I'm drawing out a template now. I also have to write what amounts to a press release about myself- I'm going to hate that.

I shouldn't be that surprised he liked DWtS. He dances with me all the time. It's sort of a two-step/jive/jig thing, but the man can cut a rug.

I have a volunteer opportunity for Planned Parenthood, but it's not until July 28th. I'm not sure I can make plans that far ahead, but it is something I want to do. I'm also trying to decide if I'm going to the Dallas Drinking Liberally in about an hour and a half. Then, perhaps Batman.

HATS!

eta: The second one rocks. The girls in the third picture are apparently on a break from their conga line.
