Thrive to spite them
I have a cat question.
The ever flow water thing I got my cat finally arrived and I set it up. She woudln't go anywhere near it the first day and kept meowing at me begging me to turn on the bathroom facuet. I haven't been because I want her to get used to the water dish, but this morning she got too annoying and I caved and she drank a lot.
Intellectually I know she won't let herself dehydrate and eventually she'll start using the water dish and stop begging for the faucet, but emotionally I feel like I'm being really mean and maybe she is going to make herself sick.

We have one of the auto waterer dishes for Cat, but I don't remember if she had trouble using it at first.

My cat keeps giving me pathetic noises to turn on the faucet, even though there's a mini-fountain for the kitties. Of course, all the faucets drip, so it's the best of both worlds for them.
