That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Should I finish my chores or take a nap? Visit the beach or hit all the thrift stores?

Do it all, Katie Bee!! Hit the beach in the morning and read your books, then go shopping! Do some chores, then take a nap!

Looks at self, still in pajamas with a foot of clothing on floor.

Or, I'm not the one to give advice.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, something worked for once! The registrar's office called, and took the hold off my account! Without bitching or anything -- it was really nice.

Thanks, universe! That REALLY helped.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's great, Erin! ANd without bitching? Amazing!

Nap, then thrift stores, beach tomorrow.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Oh, good news, Erin! That's great.

Katie, congrats! I'm so glad you've got a job, and it sounds really interesting. I'd lean toward beach, reading, thrifting, and let the chores slide, but that's the way I always operate.

Happy Birthday Stephanie!

Herding cats for fun

Actually, I'm planning to do chores today, then go thrifting. After that, I'll have to pack more fun into my calendar around the chores. Still working on the shed project. We have $300 worth of lumber that needs to be transformed into the new roof. It is going to be SO wonderful to have a place to work, I can't wait.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

David, the package just came. I can't wait to watch the videos. I'm saving the music for later. When I can enjoy it in some peace. Thank you so much!

So very welcome! Sounded like you needed a treat. It's good music for a summer day, too.

I'm on Day 3 of the stabby stabby ice-pick stabby headache that started as a sinus headache b/c of the impending dramatic weather change (my head is a damn barometer), and is now so painful that whether or not it would be clinically considered a migraine is immaterial, since I have all the symptoms of one.

To console you I will note that a package will probably arrive at your desk shortly, and you can't open it unless you leave the building for lunch.

Also, I hope your pretty head gets better.

Sweet! Humans don't suck! Sometimes. Go humanity!

I'm going to try to be extra humane today. JZ and I watched the old 1949 version of The Secret Garden this morning. JZ likes just about every version of it and this one was excellent. Very dark and gothic in the beginning with shocking shift to technicolor when they go into the garden in bloom. Excellent child performances, and fully morbid and perverse dialogue by them too. Dean Stockwell as Colin the sickboy.

I forgot! Great news, Katie Bee! Now you can invest in new and exciting Converse sneakers. I recommend the pink and black.

Ooh! I haven't seen that one! My old favorite was always the Hallmark Hall of Fame version. Then the musical came out, and the cast recording won all my love.

Ooh, yes, the pink n'black Converse. Yum. Must have. Hey, it's going to be great working at a place with no dress code. No matter what I do, I'll be one of the most normal people there!

Deena, tell Kara for me that "you have soul!" Kisses for y'all.

Off for a productive day of workutainment. TTYL!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

After three nights of very little sleep, I tried a quarter of the sleeping pill and I way overslept for my appointment this morning. I give up. Sleep hates me.

{{{Emeline}}} I hope she feels better soon.

Happy Birthday, Stephanie!!!

Yay, KB!
