Anne, you gonna come clean my monitor now?
I think I want to make my geocities website prettier today. Unfortunately, I have NO clue what I'm doing. This should be fun.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

vw, I love your portfolio, especially the last two poems (I go weak in the knees for sestinas).
Perkins, you're up much too early.
Everyone who is not Perkins, I highly recommend visiting SF and bopping around the city with Perkins.

Thank you! I was actually quite pleased with how the sestina worked out. I was nervous about writing that one and doing it well. But, I think it turned out pretty good.
vw, hope you don't think I'm invading your privacy, since you don't really know me, but I had to check out your portfolio.
I thought it was really good! Some parts I didn't totally get, but that's more my lack than yours. I found it to be quite clever in the Pizza story how you started out with the mundane (and I was thinking "huh, she re-used the Jesse character") and then the knock at the door... gave me the shivvers.
911 was scary and funny at the same time. I loved how you juxtaposed that memorable tv episode with real time.
Black dress brought back memories of when I was that age (well, I didn't have a dress). I know how it was, the combination of being carefree but still with the demands of school and the dreams of the future. I think that one is my fav.
You're pretty good with them words and the pictures were awesome; complimented the prose very well. Was including pictures part of the assignment or was that your initiative?
Oh. Dear. Please don't get me started on that rant.
A crochet hook is better for disembowelling.

No problem! I posted it on the web...anyone can read it...
I think that one is my fav.
It's mine too, which is why I ended with it.
You're pretty good with them words
Thanks!

My initiative. I wanted it to be really complete, and I thought the graphics added and complimented very well.
Well, it's too nice out to be inside chatting with the Bitches (no offense). I think I'll go take a bike ride and then do laundry.
Such a balanced life I lead. ::rolls eyes::
Ginger and Betsy thanks for the information I'll check out those sites and get some archival quality boxes and tissue. I know Grandma also found a bit of lace from her mother's wedding gown that needs to be stored better.
And after going over to my place yesterday and showing it off to my othermother I discovered a few things had have a couple more questions:
1 -- the windows are painted shut -- does anyone have a good solution for getting them unstuck?
2- There's posion ivy in several places: small bit in a flower bed, and then larger ivy growing up a tree and sort of in the side yard. Any advice for getting rid of it?
3- is there an easy way to tell if the paint on the walls was latex or oil? I'm going to ask my landlady, but she may not know because the house hasn't been repainted in about 10 years. I know on the kitchen cabinets are peeling becuase they put one over the other.
Perkins, you're up much too early.
I really was, which is why I went back to sleep, instead of looking at VW's portfolio. I have to leave soon too, so I won't be able to do it justice until I get back. I love the look of it though.

JZ is a must in this scenario too. I agree everyone should come visit.
I just created a very rough website. That was fun! Can't wait to work on it more later. For now, though, I must walk my poor dog.
