I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Any day in retail is a success if you don't maim the customers.

Truer words were never spoken.

I've been in a wierd funk lately. I spent the weekend with a lovingly patient BF, but I really just wanted to hole up in my darkened apt. in my jammies with no one but my cat. I think it's a residual from seeing my dad last week. He had a couple of strokes last year and is doing...well, not that great, really. He looks 20 years older than he did just one year ago. It sucks watching a strong, independent man become a frail old man who can't be left alone.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The bastards srcewed me with corn syrup back in the day, if they won't bottle with sugar I see no reason not be fickle.

Do you know about kosher for passover Coke, t? They use sugar instead of corn syrup and in springtime you can stock up on the bottles with the marked caps. Also, Canadian and Mexican Coke use more (though maybe not all) sugar.

NYC tap water is some of the best in the country in survey after survey. It's a flavor adjustment, but you may never want to go back once you've made it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Cool. CCnet sent me something saying my order should have been shipped on May 31st, priority mail, which means it should have been here already, but I didn't know if the ship date was accurate, since it didn't come from BPAL itself

CCnet ship messages are notorious for being not-true. According to info on the BPAL forum, the CCnet message just means that's when CCnet finally told the Lab that your order was processed on *their* end.

When did you place your order? If it was at the end of May, it should turn up early July-ish.

It was the end of May. I guess I can wait.

Perkins, what did you order?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

A sampler set with pannychis; peitho; Santa Eularia Des Riu; Tulzha, Anne Bonny, Bewitched, all of which I picked pretty much at random.

Anne Bonny is one that I wanted to try. But after finding out that they all turn to Play-Doh smell on me, I haven't ordered any more. Boo hoo.

Because books.

I placed an order on April 6, and it just arrived early last week (or mayeb the end of the week before that). I also never got a "shipped" email from CCnet at all.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Thanks, Kristin! I have two more hours here, and I think I will do the Neruda research now.

Thanks for all the advice!

Always Anti-fascist!

Doctor Wordy has a sister who is our District Dem chair. The first time my mom and I ever met her, she asked my mother this long-ass question that made her all "???" "I think she wants you to make coffee," I offered. "Why doesn't she just say that?" All these months later I wonder that every time she opens her mouth.
