Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Who else is playing besides Billy and Flogging Molly?

Holy fuck, the site just changed. It's not Flogging Molly, it's Dropkick Murphys (those Irish blues bands, they're all alike). Hey, maybe I can pick up a CD.

Let's see, the bands I've at least heard of that'll be there: My Chemical Romance, Atreyu--a few dozen others, I'm very unhip. I'm going to stick out like a middle-aged, stuck-in-the-80s thumb, aren't I.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Yay, Dropkick Murphys!

Hey. New board.

My god, am I that removed from the college set already? Diet Coke was a staple of the college diet when I was there! It was as hip as a non-alcoholic drink could get!

Well, nothing at Caltech is "hip," on the whole, but Diet Coke is definitely plenty popular there. And not just among the girls trying to keep Teh Skinny, either. It was always the first thing to run out in the soda machines. I'm guessing that if I were to ask my sister (resident of Southern Methodist University, otherwise known as Princess College), she'd tell me it's the biggest drink on campus.

Mostly lurking...

I suck. I'm going home.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, Diet Coke with Lime. I have no soda loyalty, i'll just run off with any new flavor that comes along. The bastards srcewed me with corn syrup back in the day, if they won't bottle with sugar I see no reason not be fickle.

You might find yoruself in a sea of middle-aged 80s types getting their Idol on, connie. It's happened to me more than once - not specifically with Idol, but at clubs and festivals in general. The last Sonic Youth show I went to was like that. Is that ironic?

{{vw}} But you don't suck. Feel better.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sorry your day's not going well, vw.

But I'm very happy yours is going better, connie! Yay Idol tickets!

I just found out the heat index here is expected to hit 105F.

Kill. Me. Now. (Ideally with something involving snow.)

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

My college dining halls & snack shop only sold Pepsi products. As soon as I got a fridge for my dorm I bought Diet Coke and stocked it up.
