And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

If its upsetting at times it might be helpful to remind yourself of the tendency of men past a certain age to be helpless without a woman to care for them.

Not upsetting. I worry about whether he's ready for another relationship (largely because I feel like I'm only just getting there myself), and I don't want him to fall into something else just because he's lonely. But I know M wouldn't have wanted him to be on his own for the rest of his life, and it's good to see him happy.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm glad you're essentially comfortable with it, it can be rough when the offspring are not.

Maybe it WILL turn out to be too soon or because he's lonely, but right now he's happy and that probably matters most.

Yep. This is all quite indisputably his decision, of course, and I'm good with that.

See how I got through that discussion without being porny?

I think you've grown as a person.

Ok, I think you've grown as a bonobo.

Our wings are not tired.

I've done an hour's worth of yard work to beat the heat of the day. That's all I should have to do productive today, right?

I'm glad to hear your dad has found companionship billytea. People who are relationship people are bound to do it again as soon as possible.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

It was too hot yesterday to be as productive as I needed to be, packing-wise.

Event starts this afternoon, I feel completely overwhelmed and sucktastic. Meep.

And it's considered a compliment to the deceased spouse.
