Well, I feel some hope for getting my overworked schedule under control. I hired a housekeeper this week, which will be a huge help because I totally suck at keeping house. Also hired one person for the office and we are looking to get 2 more. In the short term there will be the burden of training new people, but hope for some long term relief.
Business stuff, we did 3 trade shows the past week (huge time burden), but had fabulous response so that feels good.
Also, I went to the mall. This is huge because I hate the mall and only go there when there are no other options. But I wanted to get something with the kids picture on it for father's day because Brendon gets all mushy about such things. So we got a mouse pad with their picture at one of those kiosks. Then I got a manicure to relieve the stress of fighting with the boys for 20 minutes to get them to look not stupid for the picture.

Someone talk me out of this.
I can't talk you out of cool air. I just don't have it in me.
I bought an AC unit today myself. I'll probably have to wait until Monday before the building guy can come install it, because my window frames are funky and I'm not sure how to deal with it.
What drives me even more batchit, is the surcharge for the larger sizes.
An AC is never a bad investment, Trudy.

Cool air I can get -- but to keep it dry I have to crank the thing all the time and wear freakin flannel pajamas.
This would be
dry
air. In a city with 97% humidity "at least into next week."
Dry air sounds worth it, Trudy.
I don't think dry air is an option here. If it were the contrast would be too shocking when I went outside.
I think our first tropical storm has passed by, but the Atlantic view doesn't hold out much hope for dry days ahead. [link]
It sounds like things are going well! Excellent news on the housekeeper and the manicure. It's great that amid all of the overworkedness, you are taking care of yourself. And anyone wrestling boys into looking presentable in pictures deserves a relaxing treat.
is he hot?
Pretty much yes. Also? South African, so inevitably he's got that accent thing going.
I'm trying to come up with reasons that you shouldn't be comfortable at home but I am not coming up with any. Cool, and especially dry, air is lovely. Especially when humidity is usually your biggest concern. There is something just wrong about having to bundle up because it started out too muggy and now it is too cold...

Heh. I am still coming to terms with San Diego humidity, which isn't really all that humid. It's just that after growing up in deserts, the air seems really wet.
