This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

After I redo the underside of my hair (Nutrisse Dark Chocolate wasn't contrasty enough and faded too quickly, and Sally was out of the Wella demi in Dark Brown, so I'll be doing Colorsilk black-brown for the underneath), I'm going to get my layers cut more aggro so as to show it off.

However, I'm sticking with long.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ach, I don't want all that stress and sadness and worry for you. It's just too much for parents to put on their children, too much obedience and emotional submissivenss to demand of someone whom they're simultaneously expecting to act like a competent, functional adult.

Please don't cry, dear. Or, cry if it helps, but please be sure to wash your face afterwards and give yourself a treat and do yourself some small kindness.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

JZ, you're hair is fantastic! And, you are your usual lovely, sassy self.

I've been growing out my bangs and have a long bang that I push to the side. Something kind of like this, but with a tad longer bang...

I love having longer bangs.

{{{P-C}}} I can't imagine trying to juggle personal, familial and cultural expectations like you do. I just want you happy with a girl who you dig and she digs you.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

sj, the key-ring sounds fun. As does teacup guy. Key copying stage sounds like a nifty step.

the pharmacological interest of chocolate remains with its antidepressive activity and the promising proposes of some of its components.

Oh well. I didn't try it anyway, and from the comments above re: it being a headache trigger, I'm pretty glad. (Although it's never done that for me, but then all day ibuprofen and caffeine proof headaches are rare for me too, so why take chances. And I'm pretty well hydrated, so I doubt it's that, alas. Pity--that's a fast fix.) Meh, it's probably just stress and lack of sleep. Thanks for the feedback, folks.

P-C, I'm sorry the parental relationship stress is hitting you. I hope things work out so that you can be happy with anyone you end up with and your folks, both at once.

Poor bugbit Annabel. I'm glad the cough's nothing major.

And I think that's it for me tonight. Happy weekend, folks.

Mostly lurking...

AmyLiz, I’ve friended you in LJ.

Is it possible you could get the loan with a cosigner?

Possible, but I don’t have anyone to be a cosigner. My parents won’t, and I don’t feel comfortable asking anyone else…

Also, even if you don't qualify for a Stafford Loan

Oh, I get the Stafford Loan. It’s just, that only covers tuition. I was hoping for something that would leave me a little extra money to live off of.

Thanks for all the reassurance, everyone. I took a nap and am feeling a little better.

I suspect vw has been very busy. Is there anyone else who would like to proof my personal statement? Upfront, before anyone volunteers, I will say that it's for a pro-choice organization.

Oh SHIT! I feel terrible! I’m on that right now, Heather.

JZ’s new haircut is HOT!

That's it. You've got one week. One week from now, everybody is obliged to post a recent picture of yourself. Get on it. No excuses.

But you won’t like it! It’s getting long.

Well, this is a picture of me from a friend's wedding (here's a picture of Pete at the same event), and this is a picture of me with two of my dearest friends.

Pete is such a Brit.

What is even happening?

Do you like your new haircut, Cindy?
I do. It's not (I don't think, anyhow) exactly like the picture. I don't think she left enough at the crown. But it's a good cut, and I have enough wave and curl that I have to do absolutely nothing to it. I can towel dry, put some product in, comb it through, and then just mess it up and leave it. Any more than that, and my curl will make it look "done", and it shouldn't.
And when can I get more Cindy pictures, because, frankly, you're pretty fucking stingy with them.

I don't know how to put pictures on line. I don't have any webspace, and don't know how to use those photo sites. I have trouble even seeing other people's pictures on them. I will try to be better, though.

Hee! Plus, he doesn't like having his picture taken.
