Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

OTC--my NP and I agreed it made no sense for me to get a prescription when I had a big Costco bottle around the house. And it's so not making me sleepy. I take my last dose of the day right at midnight, and I've been lying awake till 1:00 and 1:30 plotting out the next few chapters of my novel all week. But I'ma hold off until 10:30 or so, which should give it just enough time to hit my system by PT at 11:15.

Being on Tylenol 3 and Flexeril was a novelty for me. It was the first time since I was doped up on bp meds right before Annabel was born that I was averaging more than 7 hours of sleep per 24.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I too taught myself to read at around 2. I'm not sure exactly when, because my mother contends I was born being able to read. I must have figured out phonics at some point, because I could sound out words, although there were embarrassing moments with words such as "lapel." The two earliest books I remember reading were Little Women and a book about Roy Chapman Andrews' hunting dinosaurs in the Gobi Desert. Yes, I was another of those obsessed-with-dinosaurs children. What I did through most of school is read books hidden in my lap or behind the book we were supposed to be reading.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I absolutely love our chef.

My god, I stuffed myself!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Murphy's Law at Work, at work:

When you bring enough stuff into your temp job to keep you occupied for the day, that will be the day they finally give you some work to do.

In my case, transcribing 6 months of meeting notes. Which is fine; it's a stockbroker firm, so it's all kinda interesting, in a I-have-no-fucking-clue-what-this-means jargon-y kind of way.

And it does make the time go faster, and hey! I don't have to work tomorrow!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a mani/pedi question. Or two -- they remove your existing nailpolish? Or do you go in bare? Also, how do you make it home without messing up the toes? Do they have a magic drying machine?

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I can't believe you actually wrote it down :)

I didn't. But I typed it while he was on the phone, and just left the notepad open.
