Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We don't usually talk to each other on the board when we're sitting three feet apart, but we do when we're in different locations. I do see how it's humorous, though.

I loved it when Darth and CV were posting together while sitting in the same office. When I stayed with Jon, I was posting from the guest room while he was posting from his office. It was fun! I'd say something snarky about him, and he'd just turn around and give me the stinkeye.

Hubba. Hec, hide your wife!

She objects to wearing a bushel over her head at all times. It's problematic.

He kept declaring "I stay two longer!"

Very sensible approach to mortality. But 3 is better than 2! And 4? Well, it has some dips, but generally better. But so worth it because then you get to 5 and life is glorious.

How about some good news? Emmett's Mom got a job offer after a year of unemployment (and me paying all of Emmett's expenses much to our financial detriment). It'll take her a couple months to catch up on her immediate debt, but then she's promised to go on a monthly payment plan to pay us back. (I say "us" because JZ has been shouldering a good chunk of the burden as well.)

That's fantastic about Emmett's Mom!

Coding and Sleeping

That sounds like great news Hec.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Teppy, if you are around, the Food Network is doing a show all about your city right now, and they are featuring Graeters.

Yum. Let me guess what they're featuring: Graeters, Skyline (and its ilk), Montgomery Inn (Ribs King), LaRosa's pizza, and possibly Esther Price. Oh, and maybe the Maisonette.

I need to color my hair. Would it be weird to go brown for the summer? I always think of summer = blonde, especially for me.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I have already made seven stops in my passport getting. The photo place I usually go to closed in November. (Being June, I have since reconsidered my use of the word "usually".) So I went to Walmart to get the photo. Then I went to my bank to cash the check my mom gave me. They couldn't give me the money until tommorrow, so I went to my mom's bank. They were closed, so I went to their drive-thru branch. They made me come inside because I don't have an account anymore. Then I went to the post office. They don't do passports anymore, so I went to the next town's post office, where the only person who could do passports had just gone to lunch. Now, I wait.

ETA: Oh, and I forgot City Hall for a copy of my birth certificate. Good think I got up early this morning.

Thrive to spite them

I came home early because my stomach feels horrible. I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have eaten the breakfast I did. My day at work wasn't that great and since I've gotten home I've: dropped the 2 litre of ginger ale I bought, spilled my just mixed jello in the fridge, and knocked over a can of diet coke I didn't realize was there and there's a yippy dog that's yipping. I forget he's around because at night there is no yipping.

On the upside I opened my blinds and I'm watching a chickadee go from the bird feeder to a tree branch and eating seed. So things aren't all bad.

You could go blonder. But with your hair as short as it is, now would be the optimal time to experiment, since anything you try would only be a few months to grow out.

Damn, Lilty, don't fall to their Byzantine plot to deprive you of your passport. Out wait them!

Good practice for dealing with lines while you're travelling, I suppose.

If you go brown for the summer, will the sun bleach it light?
