Mal: Cut it out. Job's not done until we're back on Serenity. Zoe: Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to enjoy the moment.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Kristin, we must go out to lunch or something once school gets out and before you leave for LA

Late now, but I was just thinking today how sad it'd be for you to move away and to never have gotten to meet you, Kristin.

OTOH, I thought of it when I was driving in the sun and 'California' by Joni Mitchell came on. I smiled for you.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

A few more Lily pics added: [link]

We just took some of her and Shiva napping together. Serious potential cuteness overload.

She's just too cute, Plei.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We just took some of her and Shiva napping together.

Iiiiiieee! Yeah, cuteness overload would be one way to describe that.

Oh, and in mememe news, I'm having a belated freakout over the writing contest results I received yesterday. (Mentioned in GWW.) They were much lower than I expected. I flattered myself I'd finally figured out the system and was going to final or come close to it from now on. But this time my average score was actually below the contest mean, though that was mostly because my low-scoring judge, who gave me 55/100, seemed to be using a tougher scale than the other two, who gave me 87 and 77--if anything the 55 judge had the most nice things to say. She couldn't stop raving about my voice and writing skill, but she just wasn't into the story.

If I went by anything but writing contests, I'd think I was brilliantly talented, and sure to sell eventually. But these stupid contests keep taking the wind out of my sails again and again. I can't decide if that's a good thing, giving me needed toughness for life among the published, or I should step away from them because they're causing me way too much angst.

Unfortunately, I'm already entered in four more. Right now I'm wishing it was possible to take them back, but it's too late for that.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh such gorgeous pics Plei...

I got off work early today. It was brilliant. Less money, true, which I desperately need but damn does getting home early on a Friday after a fucking long week feel good.

I swear I read everything but I don't remember a thing I was going to reply to...

Except I saw the Regis and Kelly show, blessedly without Regis, and saw the Indy 500 winner, Dan Wheldon, on there. I was already in love. Now I eternally sworn to him. I do, however, loathe the Kelly and the faux-Regis though. Dan's faster than a fast thing that wins the Indy 500, wee and metrosexual to the point that I think the metro might be faux -- what's not to love?

What is even happening?

The first picture of Lily and Paul asleep (where an unnamed entity seemingly threatens him in order to keep him from taking down the picture) KILLS ME. They're both too cute, and look so much alike, and ooof. Kills me.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Those Lily pictures are so cute.

Oh, ita? Goddess of finding sexy images of secret celebrity boyfriends?

I'm having trouble getting good shots of my newest secret boyfriend, Christopher Eccleston, preferably in Hot Doctor Who mode.

(DH finally sucked me into watching the new Doctor Who on CBC while I was stuck on the couch with my back. He's pleased to have hooked me, but I'm not sure he was anticipating the Hot Doctor factor.)
