I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Good luck, Juliana.

Thanks, vw. I know. I just don't feel like dealing with this right now. I just want something to work and get my life together. I know I am being too impatient. Also, that was very sweet of the cook.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I think an email is okay in that situation, Juliana. It won't be pushy if you throw in something about wanting to catch her before she is out of the office.

Yes, this. Just mention that you remembered her saying she'd be out of town, and wanted to catch her before she left.

And -- RIGHT ON!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Thanks, guys! Email sent. I'd still be working here at BigBank (instead of the development position at the French theatre company that I want), but - new people! New duties! No more bitchy!boss! These things make me happy.

vw, that cook is so sweet, and he's smart to take care of you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's sweet of the cook, vw.

Sorry you don't feel like going, sj, but go.

I am going to go. Just don't want to. I suppose the fact that I got into a car accident the first time I went there isn't helping.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My recruiter had me send an e-mail thank you as part of her standard post-interview process. It's quick, gets them while you're still fresh in their mind, and she didn't think their value weaker than paper.

Of course, I'm in IT, so that may have swayed it. It wouldn't occur to me to send paper, just because as an interviewer it wouldn't occur to me to wait until I got paper. If I haven't been thanked in two or three days, I'm really not expecting it, and it coming later doesn't undo that.

Librarian Warlord

sj, go to the doc, be honest, and the changes will happen. It's good to know that you want to make them happen -- it's a necessary piece of the puzzle.

That cook is awsome, vw. What a great place to work!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Cutie head nephew! So very adorable.
