Health~ma for your dad, Deena. And hugs for you.
I'm so sorry, shrift. That's awful.
My five-page paper is seven pages already, and I still have two more points to make.
Always better to have to cut than to have to add. And yay for your glitter-flinging therapist!
Oh. And I'm a giant crank.
I had bloodwork drawn at 7:30 and my arm is sore. So I join you in the ranks of crank. Much all-purpose ~ma to yours, Cindy.

It's a virus little kids get, and provided they're otherwise healthy, you don't generally know they have it, until they're past the contagious stage. I'm not even certain she has/had it. The rash on her cheeks is faint enough, I'm pretty sure the doc couldn't be sure, by looking.

Blood drawn, AmyLiz? Are you okay?
Thanks, Cindy. It sounds relatively benign, as viruses go. I've never heard of it before, though it seems I probably had it at some point. Weird.
Lots of health-ma for Deena's Dad.

My five-page paper is seven pages already, and I still have two more points to make. Whoops.
At least you're not stuck at 4 four pages trying to BS your way through the last page!
Looks like it's gonna be 8 pages. Oh, well.
In unrelated news, I'm wearing my new Ultra-Low Rise jeans from the Gap. The "waistband" sits right on my Iliac Crest, which makes me think "how convenient for fitting backpacks" . Feels strange, but I think I like it.
Blood drawn, AmyLiz? Are you okay?
Oh yeah. It's my three-month blood draw for my diabetes meds. No big. I just hate needles.

I'm ashamed to say that while this sounds vaguely familiar -- as in I've heard the term before -- I don't know what or where it is. Fun with anatomy!

Extra credit!
It's raining and gray and cool here, and I want to sleep all day. I think the baby may object, though. Damn it.

It can be a risk early in pregnancy, and to people with compromised immune systems. Joint pain can accompany it, if an adult contracts it. I'm hoping it is something I already had, and didn't know, or that Julia doesn't have it at all. But she's well enough, and there's nothing they can do about it anyhow, so I haven't bothered with the doctor.

Okay, good. Yeah, I hate needles, too. I have to lie down when they draw my blood, and inside my head, I repeat, "LALALALALA this isn't happening LALALA."

I'm so glad you admitted this, because I had the same reaction, and figured it was some ass bone of some sort. I'm too bootieous maximus to wear even moderate low rise pants. Right now, I'm also too fat to be happy with any of my clothing that normally would be right to me. I'm hoping if I start eating like a human again, rather than a just post-hibernation bear, I'll get down to regular fat, again. *sigh*
I mentioned the cranky, right?
Also? I hate my town. I think my local elementary school is being disassembled unofficially, before my eyes. I keep starting a letter to the paper, but I get too ranty, and um, as the woman who once spoke up at a School Committee meeting, only to be quoted in the paper as saying she was putting on her "ranty pants" I um...don't want any more attention. *g*
I hate everyone. Well, not you Bitches. But just about everyone else.

That's all I've got. My brain and my motivation appear to be vacationing elsewhere. I hope there's a beach.
