Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Susan, glad its good news.

I have knocked several items off my to-do list. Weird, huh?

Attack the board with hummus?

If I only had some hummus (a heart, a brain)...

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good news, Susan!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Was one of them 1. Write a to-do list?

Glad to hear the news has been substantially less bad, Susan. Kinda funny, I was looking around the editing opportunities on craigslist the other day and there was one almost exactly what you described. Except for the "would have to be able to come in at least once a week to the office" which happens to be in San Diego. But hey, at least you know there's stuff out there.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Just talked to DH. We've joined AAA, so if something like last night happens again, we'll have roadside assistance. He's also going to talk to our insurance about reducing our rates a bit now that our second car is over 10 years old. And we agreed that it's better for me (and by extension, for all three of us) if I find the right job in November than the wrong job in July.

Susan, it's good to read that things are better.

I just had a chat with the woman whose office is next to mine. Her son has a new cell phone, and the boy ain't afraid to use it... For 20 minutes this morning I listened to her desk phone ring three times, then her cell phone, then her desk phone, over and over and over until she finally got back to her desk. It's not the first time, so I asked her, as nicely as I could, to please tell him to STOP THAT, or carry her cell phone with her. I told her it would be fine to give him my office number to call in case of an emergency, so I could help locate her if she wasn't at her desk.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

How frustrating, Sparky. I don't know if I would have ended up as polite as it sounds like you were. Personally, I have no cell phone, but have decided to give up and join the masses if some nice Firefly or Serenity ringtones become available. Yes, I have my priorities straight!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Firefly MIDIs.

Go forth and buy a phone.
