Don't belong. Dangerous, like you. Can't be controlled. Can't be trusted. Everyone could just go on without me and not have to worry. People could be what they wanted to be. Could be with the people they wanted. Live simple. No secrets.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aha! From [link] :

In the soundtrack version of this song, the words "I pretend to pray" have been changed to "I began to pray".

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Qualified yay, Trudy. I thought that was what you wanted?

The hope was that Firm C would hire me and keep my benefits, etc. intact.

ACTUALLY, the hope is everyone would act like grown-ups and provide me with the job I'd been hired for in the first place regardless of for whom. sighhhh

I've made my list of who all needs to be called for bills, insurance and financial stuff. I really should start to work my way through it.

Today may just be the list.

[Edit: fired/hired -- there's a fun typo]

Oh, I didn't make the no-benefits connection. That's a bummer, all right. Sorry things didn't work out better.

Today may just be the list.

This sounds right to me.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Today may just be the list.

Sure. Clinging to my earlier well, at least you get the afternoon free silver-lining thing. Best of wisdom-for-next-direction-ma.

Mostly lurking...

The dog is sleeping next to me in the office. He is snoring loudly. It's cracking me up.

This is giving me the well-nigh irresistible urge to call home and wake my dog up.

I may not be getting enough caffeine.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think I am a *much* bigger failure than you, Susan. But it occurs to me that would be a sad little competition so let's not bother.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I think it's "pretend." He's just in the church to get out of the cold. I checked a couple of lyrics sites and they all have pretend as well.

Okay, now I have to know....

Always Anti-fascist!

Maybe I chose it for the irony...and it took forever to type. Maybe my fingers ARE upset with me. ETA: And I'm going with "pretend" I think.
